Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has claimed the 18th spot in the IIRF Deemed University Ranking 2023, positioning itself prominently nationally. In the recently announced UPSC Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2023 results, Ishita Kishore has emerged as the overall topper this year, clinching the coveted All-India Rank (AIR) 1. Meanwhile, Garima Lohia has achieved a prestigious Second AIR. Notably, all top four positions have been conquered by exceptional women candidates.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the merit list of successful candidates recommended for appointment, based on the combined performance in the written part of the Civil Services Examination conducted in September 2022, and the subsequent interviews for the Personality Test held from January to May 2023.

A total of 933 candidates have received recommendations for appointments in various esteemed positions, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

The breakdown of recommended candidates reveals that among them, 345 candidates belong to the general category, 99 candidates belong to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 263 candidates are from Other Backward Classes (OBC), 154 candidates are from Scheduled Castes (SC), and 72 candidates hail from Scheduled Tribes (ST). Additionally, a consolidated reserve list features 178 candidates.

The vacancies to be filled this year include 180 positions for IAS, 38 positions for IFS, 200 positions for IPS, 473 positions for Central Services Group ‘A’, and 131 positions for Group ‘B’ services.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has officially announced the West Bengal Madhyamik result 2023 today. This year, a staggering total of 5,65,428 students have successfully cleared the examinations. The declaration of the results comes after a duration of 76 days following the completion of the exams. The overall pass percentage stands at 86.15 percent.

The top position in this year’s Madhyamik exams has been secured by Devdutta Majhi, who achieved a remarkable score of 99.57 per cent. Additionally, 13.67 per cent of students have attained scores exceeding 60 per cent.

In an intriguing development, the WBBSE chief highlighted that all mark sheets and certificates will now include QR codes for enhanced authentication measures. While the overall pass percentage for this year’s Madhyamik exams stands at 86.15 per cent, it is slightly lower compared to the 2022 pass percentage of 86.60 per cent.
